Help Pets Who are Lost During 4th of July Weekend
The 4th of July weekend historically has an increase in lost pets.
To help with this, beginning the night of Friday, June 29th through the night of Wednesday July 5th, Salinas Animal Services (144 Hitchcock Rd. - the second shelter on Hitchcock Road) will have their after-hours (night drop) kennels open. Each kennel will have an information card that will need to be filled out by the finder in order for the shelter to have the best chance of reuniting the animal with its family.
Please use these kennels only when stray or lost animals are found inside the City limits of Salinas and Marina after the shelters are closed
- between the hours of 5:00 pm – 8:00 am.
Animal Control will have two officers on duty July 3rd and 4th as well.
Enjoy your 4th of July celebrations.
Be safe.
Be responsible.
Help us stop those who aren't.
