Thank you for your patience! Some of our maps might take a minute to load.

This map depicts the relative solar irradiance, also known as insolation or solar exposure, on buildings for the City of Salinas, Monterey County, California. These data are an estimation of the relative average daily solar energy received per given area. Due to the large file size of the original dataset, the irradiance values have been transformed to unitless relative values. The dataset containing the original estimated irradiance values is available upon request.

If you want to learn more about the data click on the arrow located in the upper left-hand corner of the map frame or on the points/lines located on the map to enable a pop-up that will show you more information. You can also click on the "View in ArcGIS Online" link to see the data in the arcgis viewer and/or add your own data to the map.
