About the Movement
The AMOR Salinas Movement is a community commitment to citywide beautification, reducing litter and debris and improving quality of life through partnerships, volunteerism, and education and outreach.
Maintaining a healthy, safe, and vibrant Salinas is at the heart of AMOR Salinas. The foundation of the AMOR Salinas pillars is Community -- Community Restoration and Community Resiliency.

Volunteer or Lead an AMOR Salinas Initiative
Volunteer with the City
The City of Salinas coordinates and leads volunteer clean-up initiatives throughout the year. Opportunities are available for youth, adults, and organizations. High school students may receive volunteer hours credit with pre-approval from the student's school.
Lead an Initiative
The City can guide community organizations and neighborhoods who want to lead or organize an AMOR Salinas beautification initiative. Submit pictures and a description of your event to the City at [email protected] if you would like your clean-up or beautification efforts reported as an AMOR Salinas initiative.

Is your organization or group planning or joining an Earth Day clean-up? The City of Salinas wants to recognize businesses, organizations, and neighborhoods leading or participating in beautification clean-ups and projects completed Earth Day weekend, April 22 - 24, 2022. AMOR Salinas is the community coming together to show love for our Salinas through cleaning, greening, and beautification.
Pledge to share your photos and outcomes to be recognized by the City of Salinas as an AMOR Salinas Green Heart leader!

Youth Art Contest: Love Notes to Our City
February 7, 2022
Salinas youth TK - 12th grade, pull out your crayons and sharpen your colored pencils! The City wants to know what a more beautiful Salinas looks like to you. From now through February 28, 2022, the City will be accepting artwork from Salinas youth grades TK - 12th. Winning artwork will be featured at the 2022 AMOR Salinas Earth Day Community Clean-Up and printed in the 2023 AMOR Salinas calendar.
