The Risk Management division of the City Attorney's Office is responsible for the administration of the City of Salinas's self-insured and purchased insurance programs, as well as claims administration.  These programs include self-insured liability and workers’ compensation. Other insurance programs include purchased property, airport liability, and machinery and other miscellaneous insurance programs for all City operations.   The Risk Management division also administers all personal injury, property or vehicle damage claims filed against the City. The terms or acceptance of claim forms by the City is not an admission of any fault or liability on the part of the City or any officer, agent, or employee thereof.
