City of Salinas Staff Co-Organize and Attend 3rd Annual My Life Story Violence Prevention Conference

On Friday, January 24th, over one hundred violence prevention professionals from across Monterey County gathered at the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, CA to hear the stories of juvenile justice systems involved youth and their families. They all came together for the third annual Monterey County My Life Story conference organized by the City of Salinas Community Safety and Recreation Divisions, the City of Seaside, California Youth Outreach and County of Monterey. The conference is designed to give youth and their families a voice and is a learning opportunity for the agencies that provide them services. Generous support from the Natividad Medical Foundation make it possible to provide honorariums for the youth speakers and entertainers to show we value their expertise. The 2021 conference planning is already under way. For more information, contact Community Safety Administrator Jose Arreola at [email protected] or (831) 758-7396.
