Over forty City of Salinas staff representing all departments have registered to participate in a five-part virtual learning series designed to provide a space for government institutions and community leaders to form a shared understanding of racism.


The City of Salinas has been engaged in Governing for Race Equity trainings and applications since 2014. Salinas is a nationally recognized leader in working together with community and internally to train in and apply governing for race equity strategies. This training series expands the training curriculum used by Race Forward’s Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE).
