The Central Coast YMCA will partner with the City of Salinas on the operations and management of the Salinas Aquatic Center located at 1 East Bernal Drive, following Council approval of the Management Agreement on August 21, 2018. This partnership will ensure the programs and services of the Aquatic Center meet the needs of Salinas residents. The Salinas Community YMCA opened its doors in 1921, offering successful youth, adult and family aquatics programming. As a nonprofit entity, the YMCA has a working relationship with other public agencies and nonprofits, including a partnership with the City of Soledad on the operation and management of the South County YMCA in a City-owned building since 1998.

The Central Coast YMCA will begin their programming at the Aquatic Center in September 2018.
