Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Policy
In October, 2020, the Salinas City Council adopted the Interim Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Policy, for use in determining transportation impacts when a project is subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The Interim VMT Policy guides applicants and staff through the process of determining if a project requires environmental review for transportation impacts, how to establish those impacts, and identifies mitigation measures.
