The City of Salinas (lead agency) entered into a collaborative agreement with the County of Monterey (Urban County), City of Monterey, City of Seaside and the Housing Authority of the County of Monterey (HACM) to conduct an update for a Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI). The AI is an assessment and planning document required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The AI assesses historical and existing fair housing conditions that will result in the development of future goals to better combat discrimination and increase housing choice and access in our community. To-date, two Regional Partner Forums were held in the City of Seaside on May 16, 2018 and City of Salinas on May 17, 2018.  In addition, the City of Salinas hosted the first of four Regional Community Workshops on Thursday, May 24, 2018 as part of the collaborating agencies outreach efforts for the Regional AI update process. To see a complete list of dates/times/locations of upcoming Regional Community Workshops, please visit the website link at https://www.cityofsalinas.org/our-city-services/community-development/housing-and-community-development-division/assessment-fair-housing
