Salinas has two new businesses in town! 303 Front Street, after being vacant for 10 years, is now the location of The Village Deli and Bakery, serving a variety of lunch options, including tacos, burritos, tortas and pan dulce. The deli has a mini store with everyday essentials that you can conveniently pick up on your lunch hour.

Brew and Krew Ale House at 155 Main Street broke ground on November 26th.  Business owner, Marlene Garcia’s, love of beer and her business acumen are coming together to bring Mexican cultured inspired beer to the Salinas Valley.  Keep an eye out in the next couple of months for their grand opening!

Both, The Village Deli and Bakery, and the Brew and Krew Ale House, were assisted by El Pájaro Community Development Corporation, whose primary mission is to promote equal access to economic opportunity and to transform people’s lives through entrepreneurship through education, technical assistance and support accessing capital.  For the past four years, the City has contracted with El Pájaro to provide business support services to Salinas entrepreneurs and small business owners.  Be sure to visit and support these two local small businesses!
