The City of Salinas is excited to welcome another Americorp VISTA member! Holly is the new Healthy Futures Coordinator VISTA for the City of Salinas. She is excited to be a part of the VISTA Alisal Vibrancy Plan Engagement Team and to begin working for the residents of Salinas. Holly is passionate about public health issues and her work plan for the next year will be focusing on implementing food security and access to healthcare policies and action identified in the Alisal Vibrancy Plan.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and a graduate of The College of William and Mary, Holly is new to the West Coast and eager to learn about and experience the unique culture of Salinas. Since graduating, Holly has been working in the medical field at an OB-GYN office and is ultimately interested in pursuing a career as a healthcare provider. She’s a thrill seeker, an avid music fan, and a lover of everything and anything outdoors. During her time as an AmeriCorps VISTA, she is looking forward to the skills and growth that this opportunity will provide while also being able to give back to the community that will be her home for the next year.
