2017 Fireworks Stand Lottery Winners
On Monday, March 20, 2017, at 1:00 PM, the City of Salinas conducted this year’s fireworks sales stand lottery at the West Wing Conference Room, 200 Lincoln Avenue. 35 non-profit groups representing schools and school organizations, youth organizations, community organizations, and religious, fraternal and service organizations vied for 18 fireworks stands within the city limits. Twelve school organizations, two youth organizations, two community organizations and two religious, fraternal and service organizations were selected by random drawing in the presence of city staff and interested members of the public.
The Salinas Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau congratulates the 2017 Fireworks Stand lottery winners on being selected to apply for one of the eighteen Fireworks Stand Permits to be issued in the City of Salinas. Before a permit can be issued to the selected organization, pursuant to Section 13A-8 of the Salinas City Code, the organization must complete and submit the 2017 Fireworks Stand Permit Application packet no later than 5:00 PM on April 28, 2017 to the Fire Prevention Bureau at 65 W. Alisal Street. It is important to follow the Fireworks Stand Permit process outlined in the packet. A failure to meet all the listed requirements, or failure to provide in full any of the required information by the April 28, 2017 date, may result in a permit not being issued to your organization. the following steps and provide the following information.
