There has been a considerable amount of concern expressed recently regarding the Salinas Police Department’s interaction with the homeless community. The police department has a Homeless Outreach Officer (HOT), Gabe Carvey, whose daily duty is to be a resource to the city’s homeless and assist them in getting into available services by acting as a conduit between them and various service providers.

Salinas Police Department Awarded $137,500 Grant From the OTS

The safety of everyone traveling is the focus of a grant awarded to Salinas Police Department. Salinas PD Halloween Celebration a Great Success!

Amid challenging times due to covid-19 crisis, Salinas PD was able to hold a safe Halloween Celebration for children and families of Salinas. Everyone had a great time with lots of fun with games, contests and raffles.
There was a constant flow of vehicles into the Police Service of Salinas Headquarters rear parking lot from the beginning until the end of the celebration.
