Big Week festivities are here! The week-long celebration kicked off on Saturday July 16th with a Banda MS Concert at the Salinas Sports Complex and the Kiddie Kapers Parade on Sunday. This week’s Rodeo events include the Extreme Bulls bull riding event, horse parade, daily carnival, and five days of nonstop rodeo action!

To ensure the safety of all attendees at these events, the Salinas Police Department (SPD) will have extra police officers present at these family events including uniformed officers, SWAT personnel, Violence Suppression Task Force members and undercover officers. In addition, the SPD Mobile Command Vehicle and drones will be on scene to monitor the rodeo grounds as these events take place.

Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for visitors and our community during one of the biggest events in the City – the California Rodeo Salinas!
