Officer Jackie Bohn Receives Letter of Achievement

Officer Bohn was recently awarded a letter of achievement by Chief Fresé which reads as follows:

As the Salinas Police Department has refocused its efforts towards Community Oriented Policing, Officer Jacky Bohn has consistently led by example. This year, Officer Bohn has played a key role in several department community events to include; Coffee with a Female Cop, International Woman's Day and Career Day at Alisal High School. Coffee with a Female Cop was an event that featured local Girl Scout troops. The two events at Alisal High School were on interactions with high school students. Officer Bohn participated in all of these voluntarily in some cases, on her days off. She also supervised officer attendees currently in the training program so they could attend as well.

Officer Bohn is a positive role model not only to the community she serves, but to our organization. She has helped shape its culture and enhance our professional edge as a law enforcement agency. Officer Bohn received a letter from a student after one of her community involvements that read, “Many of us look up to people like you and see that we can achieve anything. You are great role model not just to me, but to many others who get inspired to come back to their home town of Salinas to give back. All together we help make a change to this beautiful city that has seen us grow up and has shaped us into persons we are to-day.”

Due to her initiative, professionalism and dedication in representing the Salinas Police Department and law enforcement in a positive light to the community she was awarded the letter of achievement. Congratulations Officer Bohn!
