Are you prepared for a flood?  #FloodSafety

You do not have to live in a flood zone to be impacted by a flood.  Approximately 30% of all flood insurance claims occur outside of Special Flood Hazard Areas. Property owners can insure their buildings and contents and renters can insure their possessions. Discounted flood insurance is available to you because the City of Salinas is an NFIP member and has a Floodplain Management Program.

To obtain flood insurance contact your local insurance agent.  A 30-day waiting period is required before a flood insurance policy takes effect.

Don’t be left unprepared.
