Short Term Parking: Downtown Validation Program

The Downtown Parking Validation Program is available to businesses located in the Downtown Parking District. Currently, parking validation only applies to the Monterey Street Parking Garage, although the program may be expanded to other parking locations in the future. There are two forms of validations available to businesses: Parking Validation Coupons & Parking Validation Encoder Machines.

Long Term Parking: Monthly Parking Permits

Downtown monthly parking permits available now for the months of July through December. Please note that a parking permit is valid only for the specific lot for which it is purchased.

In response to public health guidance regarding the Covid19, the City is also introducing a new way of purchasing monthly permits without having to go to the permit center. Please visit the Parking Permits webpage for more information:

City Lot Opened for Monthly Daytime Permit Parking

The City of Salinas is selling a limited amount of monthly permits to park on Municipal Lot 12, located immediately west of the Monterey Salinas Transit/Bus Station.
