5th Graders Help Protect OUR Creeks, River, Bay, Ocean, and Wildlife with Artwork
“Respect Mother Nature -throw trash away!” ~Alexa Setterquist, Laurel Wood Elementary
Congratulations & THANK YOU, 5th Grade Artists!
The City of Salinas wanted to bring attention to preserving our valuable natural water resources, so we called upon our local 5th graders!
Students submitted artwork to promote the prevention of litter and other pollution from entering our storm drains that flow to our ground water, streams, creeks, rivers, and the ocean. The artwork also demonstrates taking simple steps to prevent pollution on land to protect water resources and wildlife.
Congratulations to our 10 selected contest winners! Please watch for the pieces created by these talented students to be displayed in public facilities, on social media, and in print ads.
