On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the Hebbron Family Center and the City of Salinas Block Party Committee united to host the Annual Spring Festival. The Festival featured a resource fair, arts and crafts, a rock-climbing wall, bounce houses, multiple egg hunts, a visit from the Easter Bunny and a chance to check out the Mobile Command Unit from the Salinas Police Department, and speak to a member of the SPD Swat Team.  As the Easter Bunny made the rounds from the egg hunts to the photo opportunities with the little ones, kids grabbed their baskets and participated in other activities as parents cheered them on. Families also received helpful information from the local community agencies and churches that participated in the resource fair, while youth had the opportunity to try out the rock-climbing wall and play with other inflatables. Lunch was provided for all and included hot dogs, chili beans and potato salad. Approximately 325 families and children enjoyed all of the fun activities!

A special thank you to the Block Party Planning Committee, the faith community, community-based organizations and all of the families who made this event a huge success!
