The seniors from the Firehouse Recreation Center visited the historic Boronda Adobe Historical Site on Tuesday, July 16th. The seniors learned about the history of Salinas Valley from a group of docents. On display was a WWII half-track tanker which the seniors discovered played a role in the Bataan Death March. They enjoyed viewing the original "one room" Lagunita Schoolhouse, and the original Boronda Adobe home. Using the sights, smells, and pictures in the exhibit, they were able to visualize how difficult life used to be.

The seniors had such a good time, they hope to attend the Adobe Center's Annual Tri-Tip Barbecue on August 12th.
