The City of Salinas offers a variety of recreational classes for adults that provide an opportunity for continued learning and encourage a positive leisure lifestyle.
Citizenship Classes
The City of Salinas Recreation & Park Division in conjunction with Citizenship Project offers ongoing free citizenship classes for adults in both English and Spanish. Classes are held at the Hebbron Family Center, 683 Fremont Street. Contact the Citizenship Project for more information at (831) 422-4626.

Food Bank
The City of Salinas Recreation & Park Division in partnership with the Food Bank of Monterey County offer food distribution to families in need. Food Distribution Calendar.
Bread Box Recreation Center
Days: 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month.
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Fee: Free
Hebbron Family Center
Days: 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month.
Time: 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Fee: Free
Food distribution will begin at listed time and continue for one hour or until all food has been given out.
Cardio Kickboxing and Fitness
Cardio Kickboxing is a group fitness class that combines martial arts techniques with fast-paced cardio. This high-energy workout challenges the beginner and elite athlete alike.
Firehouse Recreation Center

Fee: $20.00 per month
Zumba Fitness
By mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves, this calorie-burning dance fitness class gives you a total workout. Cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility so that it's guaranteed to boost your energy.
