She is a co-founder of CoHABLE, representing businesses in Monterey County. She is a Past President of the Golden State Builders Exchanges; an organization that works on behalf of over 10,000-member firms to negotiation programs and provide information and services that benefit the construction industry. She has volunteered at the Kiddie Kapers Parade and was very active in Salinas Valley Bobby Sox and Atlantic Little League when her children were young as a board member, coach, and manager. She has been a mentor to Girl Scouts, been a Boy Scouts leader, and served on the Building Future Leaders Council to benefit Camp Pico Blanco.
