Councilmember Anthony Rocha is a native of the Salinas Valley and has served the public in several capacities. His journey in public service began as a Youth Commissioner for the City of Salinas where he worked closely with city staff to enhance the quality of life, and recreational opportunities for Salinas youth. He later went on to serve as a Salinas City Library and Community Services Commissioner, Monterey County Mental Health Commissioner, Measure X Citizens Oversight Committee Vice Chairman, and as a Board Member for the Community Alliance for Safety and Peace. Prior to being a City Councilmember, he was an elected School Board Member for the Salinas Union High School District.
