Community Development Department - HUD Consolidated Plan 2025-29
We’re shaping the future of our community with the City’s new Consolidated Plan (Con Plan)—a blueprint for how federal funds will be invested over the next 5 years to benefit low- and moderate-income residents. The City of Salinas receives funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Development (HUD) for housing and community development projects. Approximately $2 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, over $700,000 in HOME Investment partnership Program (HOME) funds, and approximately $170,000 in Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds. The City wants to know how you want those invested.
This is your chance to make a difference! Join us to share your thoughts on housing and community development priorities at our upcoming meeting. Let’s work together to build a better Salinas!
The City invites the public to attend the Con Plan Community Meeting on January 23, 2025, at 6 PM at the El Gabilan Library Community Room located at 1400 N. Main St., Salinas, CA 93905. Here we will discuss what should be the priorities for this plan to address housing and community development needs in the City.
