PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) FOR FISCAL YEAR (FY) 2022-23 TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD); PUBLIC HEARING AND INPUT ON HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NEEDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or before August 26, 2023, the City of Salinas (City) will publish the draft FY 2022-23 (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for submittal to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The CAPER summarizes the City’s annual accomplishments completed utilizing HUD funds.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the draft CAPER will be available for a minimum fifteen (15) day public comment period starting August 26, 2023, and ending September 12, 2023.

Notice of Finding of no Significant Impact and

Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds

On or about October 13, 2023, the City of Salinas ("City") will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to undertake a project known as the Hebbron Family Center. All comments received by October 12, 2023, will be considered by the City prior to authorizing submission of a request for release of funds to HUD.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments to the City of Salinas, Housing & Community Development Department. Please address your comments to Luis Ochoa Flores, Sr. Community Development Analyst. You can also submit your comments through email at luis.ochoa@ci.salinas.ca.us. Please ensure you reference the notice you are submitting comments for.
