The Planning Commission promotes and ensures the comprehensive planning of the City. The Commission approves, conditionally approves, or disapproves applications for Conditional Use Permits which do not meet the criteria for consideration by the Housing & Community Development Director. The Planning Commission also makes recommendations regarding approval or disapproval of Subdivision Maps, Planned Unit Development Permits, Annexations, Development Agreements, Rezoning and Land-Use, and Zoning Plans.
Commissioners are volunteering residents of the City who are appointed by the City Council. The Housing & Community Development Department provides staff support to the Planning Commission.
